A new pattern on wedding stationary

I seem to be churning out the patterns lately! For some reason I find it incredibly relaxing making a new pattern fit together and then applying it (or elements of it) to a context is really satisfying. I think the elements work well on wedding stationary borders.

New patterns on products

Here are a few new pattern designs I have been working on over the last week. I also used the PSD Covers actions to apply my designs to products to see how they might look. If you haven't used PSD Covers before I suggest you give them a try. They are free, simple to use and look great. It's always fun to visualise your designs on a product!

Uppercase Spring Issue 21#

 

Happy Easter everybody! I think at this point in the evening most of us are feeling that perhaps we had a few mini eggs to many and it's now time to veg out on the sofa. 

I got my hands on the spring issue of Uppercase today and thought I would share a peek at my patterns (3rd row from the left). The other patterns selected to feature in the special surface pattern guide were of a very high standard so I am very honored to have had mine chosen. I was pleased to see the pieces Uppercase chose of the 6 I submitted, the food labels, cacti and breakfast patterns. I am going to write a bit more about this issue on Onefoundseven in the next few days so keep an eye out for that too!

Ah I can't wait for summer. I'm definitely going to head up to Clifton Lido when (perhaps I should say if!) it gets hot for an outdoor dip : )

UPPERCASE Magazine surface pattern design guide

 

I am thrilled to have been selected as one of the 100 surface pattern designers to be featured in issue #21 of UPPERCASE The Surface Pattern Design Guide. I sent in 8 designs, 3 of which will be featured. I'm really looking forward to getting a copy in April and seeing all of the other designs and advice included in the issue. I have spotted some great designs being shared from the issue so far displaying a fantastic range of style and processes.
