Za Za Bizzaar and Sas came to stay

Had an awesome weekend despite the rubbish weather with Sas coming to stay. We also took her to Za Za Bizaar. Its an amazing new buffet restaurant in by the docks in Bristol. Am feeling so stuffed still! Loved the street food themed interior with neon light up signs and the amazing lanterns everywhere. I probably could have done without the dessert though!

At Home

I had a wonderful time in Winchester last weekend, lots of fun and family time! Also been taking some pictures with my mum of her beautiful ceramic porcelain pieces for her website which will be up soon! Also took a few snaps of her studio and porcelain pieces fresh out of the kiln. Is always good to catch up with my old friend Andy cat too.

Lovely evening skies

Holly Head

Here is the latest piece I have been working on, for Illustrator Lucys Joy's wonderful exhibition Hellohead, a project involving 60 illustrators who have all been paired up and are drawing each other. I was given Holly Wales to draw (check out her lovely work here)

Its a great idea which and I have loved creating this piece! Will post more info about the exhibition which is being held in London soon.

What I love about charity shops....

...Is the most amazing things that can be found! I have an amazing one right next to my flat that I love to go and have a good old root around in at every opportunity. The prices and things I find never fail to amaze me!

Today was a very successful rummage. I got a cardigan, shirt, nautical mug, toy whistle (for my nephew), vintage tea tin, casserole pot and a Cath Kidston craft book for the grand total of 7 quid! Very chuffed.

My Presentation

Here is a picture I came across on The Enquiry Desk Website of my presentation! You can't see me (hiding behind the monitor) but it was cool to come across and you get the idea of the set up there. As I already mentioned it was e great, inspiring, confidence boosting experience and I fully recommend it to anyone considering it for next year. Also Zara and Josie are holding private portfolio reviews in a couple of weeks if you want more time and less audience! Check it out here

Had a wonderful time at Pick Me Up London this year. Not only presenting my work to a panel of Industry professionals but looking around at the incredible Illustration and design work that was exhibited there. Came back to Bristol feeling refreshed, incredibly inspired and ready to go with the next things I want to achieve with my own illustration work. Big thanks for The Enquiry Desk, organised by Josie Sullens and Zara Wood, as well as the rest of the panel for all the great support and advice.
